The Journalists Environmental Association of Tanzania (JET) is an environmental NGO watchdog dedicated to raise public awareness on sustainable management of natural resources. It was registered with the Registrar of Societies in February 1991.
So far JET has implemented a number of Projects. To mention just few:
1.
Research on the impact of villagisation programme on environment and women’s lives in Rukwa, Mbeya and Singida regions (1992).
2.
JET and PANOS but, jointly used to produce a monthly Swahili Features Services on environment and development (1993 – 1995 and 1998)
3.
JET produced a weekly (15-minute) radio programme which broadcast environmental and development issues. The project was funded by SWISSAID from 1995 – 1997.
